Why I love the L Word: Even though I DO NOT believe it represents us, the community at large, I still enjoy the drama of seeing Lesbians portrayed in a mainstream setting. I keep in mind that it is just a TV show, meant to entertain and NOT teach the ignorant, and I don't get overly involved to the point where I lose myself in the characters. I am entertained, it provides flotsam for conversation at work and my wife loves it. Some of it hits home, I recognize some of the people I know and knew in some of the characters.
