My name is Ana - you cannot shorten that! I am a mom of 3 teenage children, one step son (my wife's son), & a menagerie of animals from dogs to snakes. I live in South Africa and love it here.

My hobbies are writing - am in the process of writing a novel about "coming out". I love watching TV, DVDs, reading & spending time with my friends - this is my favourite hobbie - followed by spending time with my immediate family - Jo-Anne, my wife of one year, and our 4 children.

I have only admitted to being trully gay about 7 years ago, and was outcasted by my family, but have since then been accepted back into the family circle. My kids accepted the transition without too much fuss. Actually my sons thought it was quite cool.

I was a surrogate mother for my gay male friend. Ben is now 2 years old and the cutest little boy ever.

I love knowing the latest on the L Word and always on the look out for good gay movies, series etc.

By admitting to my family and friends about my sexuality, I have widened my friendship circle and have made many people realise that being gay is a way of life and not a disease. I enjoy talking about my coming experience. We (Jo-Anne & I) and a group of our friends have just come back from a cruise that lasted 3 days. Awesome! Wish we could go on a gay cruise but those are almost non existent here in the great nether South Africa.

I love life, I love entertainment gossip, I love my family and friends, but most of all I love Shane - I want to be just like her - without the sluttiness!! Heehee.
