I am a single African American 7th grade teacher. I am divorced from a woman and gave birth to two little girls. They are 4 and 5. I share custody with my ex-wife. I am 30 years old and I live in the DC,MD,VA area. Originally from NJ, born and raised until I was 19. I am completely obsessed with The L Word. It introduced and premiered a lesbian community that I am completely unfamiliar with and long to find. I am extremely tired of the hit and run dating scene.I would like a meaningful relationship, even short term, with an adult. I repeat, with an adult. I care for 2 children already, really do not want a third. Therefore, I have gone on strike from dating until I meet someone suitable and have thrown myself into my work and my children. So, I live vicariously through my favorite characters on The L Word, Alice in particular. I wish it would broadcast everyday or for at least 2 hours on Sunday. I think that if Showtime, the writers, or the characters understood just how vital this show is to the Lesbian community it would broadcast all year long.
