My name is Adeline... and my father was the one who gave me this name after choosing and ticking several other names from the book of English names... =) Well.. I couldn't find the book which my dad had flip through when I was born! It has the exact meanings of the name.. and now.. after searching the internet.. it provides only one meaning.. and that's "noble"... I don't know if I've reached there yet.. but will try... I speak and write Mandarin, English, and Japanese... and I love playing my instruments... I was in the band during my Secondary days... and I played the Euphonium, before I got asked to play the Saxophone.... and so.. being the sectional leader... I played the Alto, and the tenor... the only thing I was upset with is that.. my band only managed to clinched the Silver award in the Singapore Youth Festival, which was held once every 2 years... when I left the school... Currently.. a student of the University of Bradford, UK... doing my honors in Business and Management Studies...which will probably end in May 2010... Officially... I've just turned 20 on 11th July... =). I'm from Singapore. A really small country... definitely will be able travel the whole country in a day... no natural resources available.. but many brains available.. human is the country's only asset... lots of yummy food.. but as a local... I would find my place boring... but definitely for all foreigners... not too bad a place for a short holiday... I tend to push the person I love away... when I get too close... when I began taking things for granted... Currently.. there's someone I'd like to learn to treasure... I'm in love... and I'm waiting for a chance... if you do know who you are... As to why I chose the picture above... it's because.. I really like this picture a lot... it's just weird.. and... on there's another picture further down.. of me.. with the shrek ear sticking out... Well.... weeks ago... I went on the Singapore Flyer.. or in other words, also known as the ferris wheel.. located at Marina... it was supposed to be the largest made ferris wheel.. before our neighbouring country... Malaysia out beat us.. and then... followed by China... and these are just some photos taken using my mobile.. semi-sky view.. I would call it...

Well.. the area with the colourful seats... linking towards a floating stage... was where the National day parade was held last year... it's currently redeveloping to something useful.... and then the 2 oval shaped like thing... Singaporeans call it the "durian" because the outer surface of the structure are thorn-like... moreover... durian is one of the more popular fruit here... but not everyone can stand the smell and taste of it... but whatever it is... the technical name would be "the Esplanade"... where stage dramas, concerts and several other artistic cultural events are held.... it's a romantic place for couples and... the restaurants there serve expensive and good food... =) .... lastly.. the river itself.. it's really tiny.. I know.. it's actually the Singapore River



This is actually called the "capsule"... and it can take up to 30 passengers each ride... oh.. and each ride takes approximately 30 mins...

It's really blurred.. I know... I didn't have a good camera phone then.. that's why... well.. this super duper big construction.. probably the biggest so far... of all I've seen.. in the city of Singapore... I think it will only be completed in year 2015... if my memory didn't fail me... it's gonna be a casino... followed by a hotel... workers seem to be on a 24/7 shift... and.. each time when I drive... I'd drive pass the road beside the construction area.. it leads me to places like the Singapore Changi Airport.... =)
