| Because she has played androgenous characters throughout her career, most people assume that Kate Moennig is gay. However, an interview in 2000 with The New York Observer said this:stated: "Although she is straight and is currently seeing a Los Angeles actor 'who knows what he wants,' Ms. Moennig recalled a number of instances when, because of her appearance, she was 'probably' hit on by women, who either mistook her for a boy or for a lesbian." Don't give up yet, it gets better. She mightmay have been outed by Jennifer Beals, though no one knows for sure. Inin an interview with The Advocate, AdvocateJennifer said this:: Interviewer: "Do people still assume that you have to be a lesbian to play one on TV?" Jennifer Beals: "Not at all... I heard a rumor that somebody... assumed I was bisexual. Which was a huge compliment to me, because often I will go to... Kate or [others not mentioned here because this is a quiz] most often and ask, 'OK, is this the right thing to do? Is this not the right thing to do? Am I going to seem like a total chump if I do this?" Katherine Moennig was also interviewed by The Advocate about her sexual orientation, and she said, "We [actors] want to keep that personal life sacred, because that's what's most important at the end of the day." As reported by The New York Post in April of 2005, she hadwas supposedly been spotted "canoodling" with GrancescaFrancesca Gregorini (Ringo Starr's stepdaughter) at aPaper magazine's "Beautiful People" issue party at L.A.'s Roosevelt party.Hotel.
