The L Word Episode Lifecycle: The Lifecycle of of whom and/or what; Bette-Tina -Bette-Jodi (perhaps not over for Bette-Jodi i.e., just the beginning of something real for Bette for a change i.e., the end can sometimes be the beginning i.e., Bette without the baggage. To paraphrase Bette; destroys everything good, but perhaps not this time. ) I sense sympatico between the characters of Bette and Jodi, but Bette without Angela is so dissonant; it leaves me ambivalent about the entire matter happening between Tina and Bette in the first place i.e., it didn't even have to happen at ALL with Jodi as well as empty whichever way it goes as the result of Angela and Jodi as part of the scenario of Bette's soul searching and self-discovery. - I so disagree: cycle= the return to the beginning: Bette and Tina always in love with each other. On the bikes Tina says: F* you, f* You, those words were part of the dialogue at the end of season 1, when all hell breaks loose...Cycling as a metaphor to help save lives through support and $ for breast cancer is awesome to see in a TV series i.e., social consciousness.Check out the Web site for AIDS/LifeCycle (www.aidslifecycle.org) they basically lifted that entire event for this episode. I really think they should have given some sort of credit or a Web link in the credits.
