She brings so much substance to her role in this series and I think that this series would be sorely lacking without a talent of her type. I am a man, and I would never watch this show because I thought it was alove story, but my sister who is a leabian told me otherwise and I watched it and I am hooked. I am not homophobic, but I believe that The L Word should be required watching for everyone because it shows that the dynamics of a relationship is not based on gender, but on love. Beals delivers a performance in each episode that makes the viewer feel like he/she is a part of that relationship. She is a great actress in a great series.

"preaching to the converted.......................telling me something I already believe......I do not need persuading because I already believe................i.e. That JB is just great......................Oh lordy here I go again hehe" Thank You, a better understanding is always appreciated----The Cindy character seems really sweet though and got a thing for Shane.....Makes me wonder which side she really wants to be on?
