How/where they meet: Ivan was part of a local drag king group, the Kings of the Night, and Kit had booked the group to perform at The Planet.
About the relationship: After meeting, Ivan courted Kit, and although Kit was smitten, she was also straight -- something Ivan thought he could negotiate. Their friendship continued to grow, but Kit arrives at Ivan's apartment earlier than expected one day and saw Ivan nude -- obviously, with a female body. Ivan was infuriated that his persona was compromised and broke off all contact, often leaving LA to spend time at his cabin in the woods.
