What is the state of their current relationship/friendship? Bette and Shane are not only neighbors but very good friends. They have stuck it out through friendship over the years.
Strengths as a couple: They are both dominant people in their relationships, so they identify with one another, even though they have never--and will never--be romantically linked. Shane's laid back nature balances Bette's high strung one.
