Discussion: I love Jodi Lerner

"I don't really see Jodi and Bette as being similiar, they may be on the surface but once you dig a little deeper u can see the differences. Jodi is more of a free spirit where Bette is so uptight. Jodi allows people to be themselves where Bette likes to control everybody and everything. I think those are the two areas where Bette really needs to grow so that she can be a better lover to whoever. Bette had the same problems when she was with Tina, except that Tina hardly ever called her on them which just made her a Type A personality a**hole. I don't really see Tina and Bette's personalities complimenting each other, I just saw Bette as the dominant one calling all the shots and that is not balance. In order for a relationship to really grow and be healthy, you have to have balance and I think Jodi and Bette has more balance than Bette and Tina ever had because of the fact that Jodi challenges Bette and doesn't let her just do what she wants to do when she wants to do it like Tina did. I saw Bette and Tina's relationship as more of an enabler relationship, which means Tina's inability to challenge Bette's control issues just enabled Bette to be more of a control freak."
