Discussion: The beginning of the end for Jobette

"Probably all the opposite reasons that you think Bette and Tina should get back together. I think that Jodi challenges Bette and makes her grow as a person by calling her on her control issues, Tina on the other hand was a weakling when it came to Bette. Since Bette and Jodi have been together we have seen so many different sides of Bette, with Tina she was just the same ole controlling Bette. I am also realistic enough to know that no relationship is going to perfect especially new relationships and therefore u will have disagreements, but what I like most is no matter how much Jodi and Bette disagree by the end of the nite they are kissing and laughing. The idea of two hot women who embody strength and intelligence turns me on because I can relate to them because of my personality. I loved Jodi's reply, "If you are lucky" because that is a a woman who knows her selfworth. I could go on and on about my desire for Jobette but unless u can relate to the understanding of the depth of a true meaningful relationship, my expressions are fruitless. So I cease this conversation....... "

I think it was unfair of Bette to take her emotional struggle out on Jodi. Jodi has no idea what happened at SheBar between Bette and Tina, and is presumably unaware of Bette's re-awakened feelings for Tina. So it must have hurt when Bette cames over to her at Jenny's party and told her she wanted to leave, and then accused her of flirting with someone else!!

"I am baffled as to how people think there is chemistry between Jennifer Beals and Marlee Maitlin. No ill will toward anyone. Afterall to each their own. When Bette and Jodi are together I find it painful to watch they seem so uptight together. Jennifer and Laurel have a clear connection with one another and have the best chemistry of all the cast. Something just clicks with Bette and Tina. Do not get me wrong I like Jodi's character but not her relationship with Bette"
