Shane is just masking her lonliness with meaningless sex. Shane is afraid of letting someone love her, because of the fear of that person finding out who Shane really is and leave her just like everyone else she held dear to her in her life.

you have to remember SHANE hasn't had a good life her father was a reck no mother to help lived a solatiary life no one to really help her sure she loved carmen and then really liked molly but she's not getting any respect from some of these women. Basically she's a stepping tool for many of them. so, what a girl to do but look for sex or love with all the wrong people

tHE PRODUCERS OF THE SHOW SHOULD MAKE SHANE COME OUT SMELLING LIKE A ROSE why do you ask? Becaused she has been screwed over many time's . Make her the famous model again and bring her molly don't let SHANE stay alone it's hard enough that many of us are alone hoping to find the right partner our soul mate. We are not perfect and neither is SHANE !!!!!!!

Now that I've had some time to think about it. I do agree with what the majority of people who have responded to this question are saying.I think that is she really cares about Jenny then she should come clean and admit that she's afraid to get really close because of her issues of feeling and being abandoned by her parents,etc. Shane should take steps towards getting help with her drinking and drug addiction also. Otherwise,she's going to continue down a negative place.

"i have been thinking about this....did any of you guys notice the way shane looked away from phyllis when she was harping at her...I just feel that shane was looking for a way to forget what happened with Molly. And to me, when Jenny said "you broke my heart" I thought she was saying that to Shane, am i wrong on that?
