Discussion: could the L word live on with other sessions?

"i know my mom divorced my dad after an 11 year marraige, now that is a true life expirence, these are characters that we love but the people behind them we dont know, and plus when new characters came into the L word we all gave them a chance, i really think it would be awsome with a whole new cast, but one that can pull it off and still make it exciting, cuz im sure shane and bette aren't that hottest chicks out there"

"Absolutely not!!! If they end the L Word, there is no show that could follow in the L Word foot steps. Characters like Tina and Bette are a once and a life time. I actually watched that show once Ex's and O's on LOGO. Does not even compare to the L Word. Awful! Ilene needs to fight and hold on to the L Word and Showtime needs to give us more seasons! It will be over for lesbian shows after the L Word. The only way another show will be successful they would have to get some really hot hot actresses that people love. Now if they brought out a show with girls like Eva Mendes, ok, now that will be a success. Some people may say oh, these characters don't show true lesbians. Please, the only reason this show was succesful was because of hot lesbians and great story lines! Esspecially JB and LH. I know I don't want to see to unattractive women go at it. Lets keep it real. Everyone continue to call and write your letters, let see if we can keep this on past 6 seasons. "

"I agreed with you..........., I don't see any possiblities for new version which stands on the similiar ground like TLW - indeed if cast by a group of younger actress who will called as "Bette & Tina" wannabies, it's still create lotsa big talk in town. The production group will face $$$ losses. Just like before - teenages are crazy for BH 90210 & the cast, when it end....everything seems casually faded in timely fashion. It's over but still remembered. I guess, leaving TLW as the legendary les sitcom ever made by Showtime in the name of good virtue. There's no further continuousness for the next Season not even the 'new- whole version' of TLW. There's no comparisons fit enough to swot on what the people had watch, idolized and inspired. Something is better than nothing. Yet, Showtime should have had something else under the pipeline after TLW is over.....
