Discussion: Jenny Season 6

"let's face it people jenny was talking about shane in her speech . you only have to rewatch season 1 through 5 to under stand that they always had feeling for one another and they never act on it because they saw what happen to alice and dana and didn't want it to happen to them. it was nice to see jenny have fun sex with nikki. but it was just fun sex. nikki use jenny to get what ever she wanted on the movie set and when it was time to show jenny that she really love her and walk off the movie set with her she said no. I know what you are going to say but she under contract. okay but the other four actress on the show wanted to leave and tina had to kiss their but to stay on the movie set. and another thing if nikki really love jenny , when jenny wasn't returning her calls why didn't she go over jenny house or write a love letter to her like jenny did. that why it was just fun sex between them. now shane on the other hand when she realize what jenny means when she says to her you broken my heart . she is going to finaly open up her heart and do everything and anything to win jenny heart. that means no more hiding her feelings come right and tell her how she really feels about her. that is why their is going to be a shenny in seaon 6. as for the spin off rumor has it that one actress has been sign from the cast and it looks like it could be jenny with one more character and a brand new cast around them."

"Jenny needs to be happy & actually so does Shane & if Jenny is to be with Shane that'd be okay. It be nice to see all the characters involved with someone & truly happy in their relationship. Cause everyone needs love & belonging"

"That is refreshing to hear other people talk about Jenny without hating on her. I really really hope her and Shane get together."

"Well i have seen season 1 thru season 5 and Shane has always been with someone else and so has Jenny. Shane has been a roomate and only a roomate. What happens if they do not connect that is all i am stating, because it could happen."

"And anybody who has eyes can see that Shane has NEVER 'only' been a roommate to Jenny. Shane was the one who helped Jenny understand who she was and helped her to find her confidence and her footing in this weird new world she had never been a part of before. The two of them have shared things with each other and helped each other through things that they would never *dream* of going to the others for help with. Shane was the one to find Jenny in the bathroom and take care of her, Jenny was the one who told Shane she wasn't scary when she was feeling uncertain about getting involved with Carmen. Shane went to Jenny and tried to talk to her and help her when Jenny started stripping, because she was scared of the dark road Jenny was going down.

These two have *never* been just friends or only roommates. Their connection has been impossibly strong and their bond has only gotten stronger as the seasons have worn on. Being with Marina tore Jenny down and made her doubt everything about herself - her sanity, her sexual orientation, her choice to ever move to California - and Shane helped to give her back everything Marina had destroyed and helped to build Jenny up, even stronger and better than before. While Marina took credit for 'opening up' Jenny's world, she couldn't see all the many ways she had absolutely destroyed it. Shane, though, has done so very much for Jenny - to help her and support her and protect her - and never asked for a thing in return and never took credit for any of it.

Shane is in love with Jenny and has been for a very long time, I think. And I really do believe it was Shane Jenny was talking about in her speech - the fiasco with the movie really opened her eyes so that she could finally see who's been there for her, loving her all along. Marina was awful for Jenny. Shane's been there for her and done the work - it's high time Shane and Jenny had a shot, without anyone else in the way."

" IC has showed us that without each other they can't survive on their own. but when they are together they can do just about anything. that is why i say shenny in 09."

"Exactly. Whenever they're separated or preoccupied with other people or things (ie. Niki or Paige, just for example), that's when the problems start, because they can't keep watch over each other.

I mean, we saw a perfect example of it in 5x01 -- Jenny was like 'why Tina?' and Shane just said 'be nice' and Jenny cooled right out and was nice again. These two are the only ones who can soothe each other and calm each other down - the only ones! Ilene KNEW that she had something really special with Shane and Jenny and really did come to understand the kind of influence they have over each other.

That's why IC kept the two of them separate from each other season after season if she had certain challenges she wanted them to face - because she knew that if they were there for each other all the time when bad things happened, Shane would go to Jenny (or vice versa) and would help her fix it and voila, end of problem, no more drama. And that doesn't really make for a very dramatic or interesting show - lol

But Ilene knows that they can be that for each other and knows that that's the level and depth of a bond they have with each other! Ilene knows - she's the one who created them, but I don't think that even she counted on just how genuine and strong a bond they *would* have. But Mia and Kate have really brought an incredibly true tenderness and love and affection to life with Shane and Jenny - I think their friendship in real life helps a lot, but they are also just so ridiculously talented and GOOD together. They trump Tibette in terms of chemistry and always have, as far as I'm concerned!"
