good, holy "christ",

i apologize, i am only about through season 2 on DVD, and adore this show,

but, mia kirshner makes me simultaneously laugh at her and want to stab myself at the same time, i don't call that good acting, i call that character manipulation, i will definitely catch up so i can watch season 6 in january, i absolutely love this show...

but i am still trying to figure out one thing: why in all her bad-assness, would Shane be caught in the web of Jenny?...i mean i understand why Sandra Bernhardt and Tony Goldwyn fall in to her orbit so freely, and how the writers made Tim, Marina, and Robin such helpless fools to the unescapable allure of "JDS", but why should we believe that in reality someone like Shane would sacrifice so much for someone like Jenny...

maybe i just need to watch some more, but all i keep thinking throughout the Mia Kirshner scenes is:

soon, there will be a show with Leisha Hailey, and all will be presumably be o.k. with the world again...

haha, i am about half-way through season 5 now, apologies for being such a newbie,

and have actually found myself laughing at Schecter, especially with this gum-chewing-and-spitting-out routine...

her potential toleration of Nicky Stevens makes me think i may just be able to watch her act again...

I agree with you that Jenny's character was irritating many times, etc. Mia Kirshner is one hell of an actress. I feel like the L Word took me on one hell of a roller coaster ride with the Jenny character. I hope that there is an L Word movie made soon to clear the loose ends as to what really happened to Jenny and also to the other characters on the show. It's been two days since I saw the finale and I'm still in shock. I know that I sound like a broken record but I can't help it,that Tina interrogation tape still haunts me and so does the ending to the L Word series.

I loved jennys character. She showed how complex emotions are. She was a disturbied mind. She played with minds tricked minds controled them even. She was a strong force to be delt with that is a fact. But she was a major part of this show. Really the start of the show. She was the view inside of the L Word. Jenny may have been divious in her ways but she also showed us a light into another world. She was def. her own person. She stood out alot. She evolved as a person. She became this big icon from where she did start. Mia kirshner is a GREAT actress. Very. She can play any role to the Tee. But i think that her as Jenny was the best thing for her. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Jenny made a statement at the Lez Girls wrap up party that she is madly in love with someone and she was refering to Shane. She caught her seducing Nikki then she turned around walking away saying to Shane "You've broken my heart", if Jenny thinks that Shane has broken her heart she is dead wrong because the truth is that Jenny's heart is not meant for Shane and Shane's heart is not meant for Jenny. Long before the Lez Girls wrap up party, Molly was Shane's true and real love interest and what they have in common is they have a genuine fondness and affection for each other. Although the break up between Shane and Molly was caused by the cruel words of Molly's mother, Phyllis Kroll which led Shane to flirt with another woman in front of Molly and even though she was hurt, Molly handled the situation gracefully telling Shane that she deserved compassion. Molly really cares for Shane and her love letter which is for Shane expressing her love for her would fix and repair their broken relationship and Shane would have the chance to reconcile with her, but instead Jenny hid the letter in her attic so she could have Shane and that shows how selfish she is. The conclusion is that Shane's breaking of Jenny's heart is only an illusion because the truth is they never have a genuine fondness and affection for each other and breaking up with Nikki and being madly in love and getting involved with Shane was a huge mistake that Jenny made. Since Jenny's love for Shane is a forbidden love and their relationship and involvement is completely inappropriate and totally unhealthy, there shall be no marriage proposal of Jenny to Shane.
