You take care of your significant other's needs. But what do you when that person dies. If you LOVE them, you are sad. You have already promised your heart to them, and you are crushed. If you just don't allow yourself to get so INTO the relationship, it won't be so awful when they pass away. Death comes without warning, most often than not. I'd rather be there for the person, take care of them, and move on when they do. I have no clue what really happens to a person's being, when their body dies. I refuse to be the girl that sits and cries for days, weeks, months...trying to forget the loss. It's such a waste. So, you got me on that. I think that I am still able to have a fulfilling life without allowing myself to be sucked into the mushy-gushy love lockdown. I have different experiences with different people, on more than just a sexual level - to make that point for the more perverse brains of this conversation - and I don't feel I need to LOVE them to have a great time. My heart is for pumping blood to all parts of my body. It's a great thing to have, but when it stops beating, it's no more than a squishy ball of flesh in your cereal bowl - too tendonous to chop up and wash down the garbage disposal.
