"How many movies or TV shows have you seen where a person is made over to appear to be a race which they are not? It happens. I haven't seen much of Jenn before LWord to realize that this was not the case.

I agree that bi racial is a mix of any two races. After further reading, I discovered that Jenn's mom was Irish. With Jenn's mom being Irish and dad being African-American, she is in fact not White at all. Historically, the Irish were not white. They were treated as badly as Blacks (free slaves) for a long time by Whites. A little history lesson there if any interested."
And the Indians! We were dogged out too, histirically, ahem, speaking of course!

Yes it is a dang shame regarding Indians. If anyone want to know my mix, it's White, Black, and Indian. Some people can tell I'm not all black but with that being the dominant of the three, it's rare that someone asks me to identify. I get more, "what are you?" questions when I speak. I sound like I'm from Af-Eur-merica. lol!

We all have history. I am Black/German very light skin and was adopted by a darker skinned black family, during a time that it was not considered "fashionable." Had to develop a thick skin. :) But, it has made me a strogner more open minded person. We all have history. :)

I am just wondering what will the writers come up with why no one knows a darn thing about Tina's family. We knew Bette's father had very strong reservations about her being gay, to Tina, and having Angie. I miss Ossie Davis. I wonder how in the heck did they ever get Ossie Davis to play Bette's father, and who first approached Ossie with the part? I hope Tina's folk's are the equivalent of Bette's folks, meaning that her folks have deep rooted values and as classy as Ossie Davis. Do you find this valuable?
